Peer Review Process
Katatib: Journal of Islamic Studies follows a traditional single-blind review process, where the reviewer’s identity remains hidden from the submitting author. Authors are expected to submit their work with integrity, avoiding fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, or inappropriate data manipulation. Submitted manuscripts are assessed by anonymous reviewers based on their contribution, originality, relevance, and presentation. Each paper will undergo anonymous review by at least two reviewers, either members of the Editorial Board or experts in the field. To expedite the review process, Editors may occasionally make a decision without external review. Authors will be informed of the review outcome as promptly as possible, typically within 8 weeks. The Editors’ decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entertained regarding manuscripts deemed unsuitable for publication. All communication, including decisions and revision requests, will be conducted via email.
